How much faster would 2017 WRC cars be when tuned for track running?

Slicks, firmer suspension, longer gearing, restrictor and limiter removal.

What kind of race cars can hang with a WRC car tuned for grip racing, and what cars won’t?

They already run stiff suspension and what’s practically a slick tire at the tarmac rallies. Taking off the restrictor (allegedly) gets the power up around 550, which would put power-to-weight at 2.1 kg (4.7 lbs) per horsepower. Someone else would have to see how that compares to other race cars.
